How long does it take to build a website?
A simple small business website can be built in a few days. A site with booking, payments and a dashboard usually takes one to a few weeks. At Bizfloo, Website-package sites can go live the next day after you approve the free homepage mockup and send your content.
The build itself is rarely the slow part. Most delays come from waiting on content, decisions and account access. Here's how a project actually runs and what you can do to keep it moving.
How long does each type of website take?
At Bizfloo, Website-package sites, up to five pages, can be live the next day after mockup approval and content. Website + Business Suite builds, with booking, payments and the dashboard, take 1 to 2 weeks. Enterprise builds, with memberships, staff logins or integrations, take 2 weeks to a month.
Larger agency projects with strategy workshops and several design rounds usually take longer than that, because more people and more approval steps are involved.
What are the steps in a website build?
Price and scope. You answer a few questions and see your price in about two minutes. The scope is written down so both sides know what's included.
Homepage mockup. Every completed quote includes a free homepage mockup, so you approve the look before the full build.
Intake and build. Work starts the day intake is approved. You get a live preview link and can check progress as pages come together.
Review and launch. You review the finished site, ask for changes, and it goes live on your domain.
What does setup involve?
Setup is the part people don't expect. Your domain has to point to the new site, which means logging in to wherever you bought it. If you take payments, your Square account has to be connected. Business email, forms, booking rules and any outside tools all need to be set up and tested.
None of it is hard, but each piece needs a login or a decision from you. Having those ready is the easiest way to launch on time.
What slows a website project down?
Missing content is the most common delay: service descriptions, prices, photos and a logo. Next is slow feedback, when a preview sits for a week without comments. Last is account access, like a domain login nobody remembers.
If you can, gather your text, photos, logo, domain login and payment account details before the project starts.
What happens after launch?
The Website package includes a year of support, and Bizfloo handles content updates for you. On Website + Business Suite and up, you can change pages, services and products yourself in the Business Suite. Hosting is optional, from $30 a month or $300 a year.
